Jim Howard creates luxe yet comfortable homes for sophisticated clients around the country. His design work is known for the sort of evocative atmosphere that characterizes the world’s great spaces. “Atmosphere” is the magic of a place, the embodiment of all its power to capture your attention and embrace you—some might call it the “wow factor.” But even as it excites, atmosphere also soothes, offering an overall feeling of well-being and calm. Howard wrote this book to convey all he has learned about crafting atmosphere at home, wherever that home may be, whatever aesthetic it might have. Doing so isn’t just a matter of rules or formulas; it is a science as much as an art, which Jim shares in a dozen captivating chapters.

James Howard is a sought-after designer who specializes in creating interior architecture. Together with his wife and business partner, Phoebe Howard, Jim owns and operates successful design retail stores throughout the South. The couple has a furniture collection with Sherrill Furniture, available nationwide. The Howards live in Jacksonville, Florida, and Atlanta, Georgia.

Do you offer shipping?
Yes, we offer shipping across the United States. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of the items as well as the shipping destination.

Shipping Pricing for the Domestic USA:
- Local Delivery and Pick-Up: Free. Pick up your items directly from our shop at no extra cost.
- Orders over $350 (excluding furniture): Free Shipping.
- Orders $0 - $25: Shipping cost is $7.
- Orders $25.01 - $50: Shipping cost is $10.
- Orders $50.01 - $100: Shipping cost is $15.
- Orders $100.01 - $200: Shipping cost is $20.
- Orders $200.01 - $350: Shipping cost is $40.
All non-furniture items are processed and shipped within 3-5 business days. Furniture shipping terms vary, please contact us for details.
Can I return an item I purchased online?
We accept returns within 7 days of delivery. Items must be in their original condition and packaging. Custom orders and certain types of goods, such as personal items and sale items, are non-returnable. For returns, contact info@kedinteriors.com.
Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us if there are issues. We address defects, damages, or incorrect items promptly.
Exchanges
Return the item you have, and once accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Yes, we offer mini-design services for small spaces and single rooms through KED at Home. Visit the Signature Spaces page for details. For full service interior design, renovations and design/build new homes, please visit KED Interiors.
